Chinese-funded playpark opens in Grenada

Grenada officially opened a play park that was funded by the Chinese Embassy. The La Sagesse playing field was the venue for the park's opening on Friday, October 25.

The goal of establishing this park is to create a place for citizens to enjoy and fostering stable, healthy relationships with the residents of various communities.

The park has a variety of play equipment, such as swings, slides, and climbing frames.

Chinese Ambassador to Grenada, Wei Hongtian and Prime Minister of Grenada Dickon Mitchell attended the opening.

Ambassador Wei reiterated China’s commitment to working with Grenada for the benefits of the young generation.

Mitchell thanked the Chinese Embassy and said he looks forward to more fruitful results from the practical cooperation with China.

The opening was attended by over a hundred local children and parents.

The Chinese Embassy in Grenada is providing funds for the construction of a total of five Children’s Play Parks in St. David, Grenada. The other four play parks in different locations will be completed soon.
