Chinese Ambassador meets with Guyanese President

Chinese Ambassador to Guyana Guo Haiyan recently met with President of Guyana Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali.


The two sides exchanged views on progress of key bilateral projects and potential cooperation opportunities between the two countries.


Deputy Chief of the Misson, Political Counselor Huang Rui, Economic & Commercial Counselor Li Hanqing and Guyana’s Minister of Tourism, Industry and Commerce Hon. Oneidge Walrond, Foreign Secretary Hon. Robert Persaud and Director of Presidential Affairs Mrs. Marcia Sharma were present.

President Ali said, Guyana looks forward to enhancing pragmatic cooperation with China, and more Chinese

enterprises are welcomed to invest in Guyana so as to boost its economic development and social transformation.


Amb. Guo said, China attaches great importance to China-Guyana relations, and is willing to deepen mutual trust, promote win-win cooperation and achieve common development with Guyana.
