AI-powered robots steal the show at World Robot Confab in Beijing

Robots powered by artificial intelligence (AI) are stealing the show at the ongoing 2024 World Robot Conference in Beijing, a venue known for startling advances in the field. According to Xinhua, these robots are not only stealing the show once more but also highlighting their industry-changing potential.

Unitree G1, a two-legged humanoid robot that stands about 1.3 meters tall and weighs about 35 kg, attracted a lot of attention among the multitude of AI-powered robotic technologies that dazzled professional participants and excited crowds.

The robot's integrated robot unified huge model, which allows it to continuously learn and refine its skills, is what most appeals to potential purchasers, despite the fact that its clean, futuristic appearance and sleek, streamlined design caught many eyes.

This robot is unique in addition to having a few other notable characteristics. The humanoid robot's developer, Unitree, a robotics startup with headquarters in Hangzhou, claims that it has advanced three-finger force control hands and a maximum knee joint torque of 120 Newton meters. It can walk at a speed of two meters per second.

"Many laboratories and companies have already adopted this model, which was launched this year and starts at just 99,000 yuan (about 13,874 U.S. dollars)," stated Huang Jiawei, Unitree's marketing director.

In China, a prominent player in the AI and humanoid robot domains worldwide, the real-world use of these robots is developing quickly. Modern AI-powered robots are no longer limited to impressive stunts; they are being incorporated into industrial environments and working alongside people.
